For Kevin school is definitely a trial. Staying in his seat, paying attention, and not getting distracted are hard for him. Fortunately, Kevin's teacher Mrs. Steele understands him. However, when Mrs. Steele goes on an extended trip to Africa, she is replaced by the worst substitute in the world—Beezer the Buzzard. Kevin knows he'll be stuck inside for every recess and have his desk moved to the front of the class. But with some e-mail assistance from Mrs. Steele and a sympathetic PE teacher on his side, Kevin finds a way to get control of his dismal situation—and even make some impressive and ego-boosting contributions to an important class project.
This is a poignant and lively chapter book about a boy struggling with attention challenges.
